I am a proud student of the first batch of M.Sc[int] in Anna University. I joined it against the will of many of my relatives, since they wanted me to become an “engineer”. But my family helped supported my decision and i am glad that i made the right decision for it was five years unlimited fun and a good job at the end of it.
I still remember the day of counselling when on of the parents asked the director (of the maths department) that can we call this course a MS or anything else :-), people were only looking at the name and they don't care what the content was!. After a briefing they asked only the students to enter the next room, i saw one of the parents to entering and we were making mockery about that person, only to find out that he too is a student.
Mahesh(aka MAC) is the first guy i meet on the first day and while filling some form i noticed that he filled in as “Jat” and i corrected him saying that it’s “Jain” only to find out that there is a caste called JAT! anyways, from that day onwards we became good friends.
I don't think i can write year wise, for i need at least couple of months to finish this one entry! Some of the things i miss,
- Subu’s running program
- learning to use internet
- spending most of the time in the hostel and watching movies, playing cards, carom, and mortor(its a strategy game, i think i need to advocate the same in IIM :D )
- my first C program
- learning to play basket ball, just because some girls were playing :P
- J3, G12, F5… wat not!
- ECR road
- Mathrix
- computer lab
- ...
